Jon Dalberg joined Landau Law LLP as a partner in July 2009, having previously been a partner in the Los Angeles office of Andrews Kurth LLP. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy practice, having represented debtors, creditors, (secured and unsecured,) and committees, (official and unofficial) in numerous bankruptcy cases in jurisdictions across the country. His experience and expertise encompass a broad range of industries, including those in the financial, healthcare, retail and communications sectors, with a particular emphasis on the entertainment industry. Recent representations include Vineyard National Bancorp, in which he represented the debtor, a holding company for a failed bank; the Midway Games bankruptcies, in which he represented the purchaser of the bulk of the debtors’ assets; Tower Records and Movie Gallery, (large trade creditor); and Brotman Medical Center (IP services provider).

 

Mr. Dalberg attended Yale Law School as a Fulbright scholar where he received his LLM in 1984. He was a Bigelow Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School before moving to California to take up private practice in 1986. He is admitted to practice in California and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Central Districts of California. He also serves as a member of the Greek Theatre Advisory Committee, City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks.
